Max Factor Masterpiece Nude Palettes come in three colour options resembling, to some degree, Urban Decay Naked palettes. The palette I have is in number 03 Rose Nudes. The pink undertones are one of my favourites in the eyeshadows since they not only fit my neutral skin undertone, but they also enhance my green eyes.
I bought it last summer. And somehow I gave up the review on it at that time. This weekend when I was going through my pictures I found it in no name folder. I went to through my drawers and there it was. In the back, forgotten.
The plastic packaging plastic with a transparent lid is very light. You do get one of those awkward applicators with it. I do not have it anymore, it means I threw it away somewhere along the way. I looked at it and I couldn’t understand why I left it in this “makeup donation drawer’. When I started to do the makeup eye look for you, everything came back to me. But first things first.

Rosy Nudes Swatches to Die For
The colours look vibrant and even. Smooth as can be. Even the lightest shade seem to have a decent colour pay off, right? Out of eight shades, three are completely matte, two are shimmery, and three have a satin finish. You have different textures and colour range for a complete makeup look. But as it is with many eyeshadows, their swatches aren’t the direct indication of what you can expect on your eyelids.
It takes a lot of effort to achieve this colour intensity. Firstly, I had to prep my eyelids since I am already in my thirties. The problem for me is that when the eyeshadows are overly chunky the texture and wrinkles on my eyelids are extremely exaggerated. So when I want to use this palette, I have to tap extra few drops of hyaluronic acid on the upper lid before I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer.
The powdery consistency of the eyeshadows is troublesome. It gets messy under the eyes. The shadow does not want to cling to the makeup brushes. I had to pack the colour with the flat brush and gently blend the edges, so I do not blend away all the colour. Although there was almost no creasing the actual durability of the shadows was three hours tops.
The Max Factor Masterpiece?
Max Factor has great lipsticks, mascaras and their Face Finity All Day Flawless 3 in 1 foundation is one of my favourite drugstore base options. For 19,99€ eyeshadow palette, I was expecting more. It gives me a heartburn – € 19.99 for a product I have used twice before. Three times if we include yesterday’s makeup look for the purpose of this review. And is far from beeing an eyeshadow palette masterpiece.
