Proper nighttime skin care routine can boost the repair of the skin cells while we are asleep. Today I want to share with you several products that above regular nighttime regeneration helped me with several skin issues.
Unfortunately, there is no one recipe for all of us. All we can do is to try different solutions and adjust when necessary.
Anti-aging and Skin Firming
Tata Harper’s Regenerating Cleanser got its review some time ago. Application few times a week as a peeling lightened my dark spots, left after my acne. It is mind blowing. Especially that I have thought that the effects after 10% glycolic acid treatment were the maximum what I could get with the home skin care.
Rio Rosa Mosqueta Face & Decolletage Firming Serum is a product that helped with the wrinkles formed from my neck down. Its relatively low price for a serum with such a great list of ingredients (Rosehip Oil, Babassu Butter, Sodium Hyaluronate, Aloe Vera, Manilkara Leaf, Calendula, White Tea, Chamomile; vitamin-rich Sacha Inchi oil) That also gives me no headake when it’s finished. For approximately 12€ I can buy a new one without a problem. Afterall, the consistency is a key to effective skin care routine!
It goes without saying that our body also needs extra attention. Naturally, the regular moisturising body lotion is perfect for everyday use. Paula’s Choice Resist Retinol Skin-Smoothing Body Treatment is something that I have been using during winter time. Now I am a bit afraid of the sun damage on the sunny days since I do not apply the sunscreen all over my body. But still, it is a product worth mentioning. It visibly tightens and evens out the body skin colour. The only downside for me is that it comes in the 118ml bottle so I got out of if relatively quickly.
Enlarged Pores & Breakouts
I love how my skin looks like in the morning after Figs & Rouge Avancé+ Invisible Pores Night Detox Serum (review here). If you have large pores not only in your T-zone, but like me also on cheeks, you know how difficult it is to find a product that does not only fill them it but actually cleanse and shrinks them. And less clogged pores means fewer breakouts for me 🙂
Skin care essentials – moisturisers
Estee Lauder’s Revitalizing Supreme was for a long time, my favourite night cream. I love its silky and rich consistency and the plump skin in the morning. In theory, it is predicted for slightly older complexion, but I do not mind at all. Now it has new name and formulation which I haven’t tried out yet. But since I have started to use The Ordinary 100% Moroccan Argan Oil few times a week, I noticed that my skin natural hydration levels improved so I can use less rich creams. And the Figs & Rouge Hydra-Activ Derma Renewal Hydra Riché Night Cream appears to be a perfect me. This hyaluronic acid rich cream gives my skin the moisture it needs. Also, the anti-inflammatory ingredients help me with keeping the zits of my face. Making the cream anti-aging and anti-blemish solution in one!
What I still want is a perfect eye cream. The ones I have tried out, both low and high prices seem to be just adequate. I hope to find the one with big oomph factor soon. Meanwhile, I hope you find this mini reviews useful. Now all is left is the weekend prep.
I am heading to the shower to try out new organic body scrub. Since I normally use simple grained coffee for that purpose I left other body peels out from my list.
